The application date for the Ladki Bahin Yojana has been extended by the Maharashtra state government. Eligible women who failed to apply or did not apply for the Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana can now apply until this new date. The Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana was launched by Eknath Shinde on June 28, 2024, during Maharashtra state’s interim budget 2024-25. Under this scheme, married, widowed, abandoned, and destitute women of Maharashtra state are eligible, and women receive financial assistance of 1500 rupees per month from the state government.
Under the Yojana, so far 1 crore 30 lakh eligible women in the state have received the first installment of the Yojana, totaling 3000 rupees, transferred to their bank accounts via DBT from August 14, 2024, to August 20, 2024, in the first phase of the scheme.
In addition, in the second phase more than 57 lakh eligible women received 3000 rupees directly in their bank accounts from August 27. Women who have not received money under the first and second phases of the scheme must link their Aadhar card, only then will they receive money through DBT.
There are many women in the state who could not apply for the Ladki Bahin Yojana due to lack of documents or other reasons. Additionally, applications of more than 50 lakh women were rejected for the scheme. Therefore, the Women and Child Development Department of Maharashtra proposed to the state government to extend the Last Date.
Approving the proposal, the state government has now extended the last date for the to September 2024. Now eligible women can apply for the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana in September as well.

What is Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana Last Date?
The Ladki Bahin Yojana Last Date is the final date for applying to the Ladki Bahin Yojana initiated by the Maharashtra state government, under which eligible women must apply before September 30, 2024, to receive benefits under the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.
Mazi ladki bahin yojana is an ambitious initiative started by the Maharashtra state government, under which women of the state aged 21 years and above who are married, widowed, abandoned, or destitute receive financial assistance of 1500 rupees every month. This scheme was announced by Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Eknathji Shinde in the state’s interim budget.
The application process for Ladki bahini yojana started from July 1. The state government has issued both online and offline methods for women to apply. For online applications, women can use the Narishakti Doot App and the scheme’s official website.
There are many women in the state who are not capable of applying online. Keeping such women in mind, ladki bahin yojana forms have been issued, through which women can apply from nearby Anganwadi centers, Aaple Sarkar Setu Suvidha centers, CSC centers, etc., and avail the benefits of the scheme.
The main objective of the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana is to strengthen the economic independence, health and nutrition, and important role in the family of all married, widowed, abandoned, and destitute women above 21 years of age in the state. Eligibility for Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana
Only women aged 21 to 65 years from Maharashtra state will be eligible for the Mazi ladki bahin yojana. Eligible women will receive 1500 rupees per month directly into their bank accounts through DBT. However, to receive benefits under the scheme, women must meet the eligibility criteria issued by the state government.
- The woman applying for the Ladki Bahin Yojana should be a resident of Maharashtra state.
- The applicant should have a bank account linked with Aadhar card.
- Only women aged 21 to 65 years are eligible for the scheme.
- Family members of the applying woman should not be income tax payers.
- Family members of the applicant should not be MPs/MLAs.

How to fill Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana Form?
You can apply for the Form online and offline. For online application, women need to visit the official website of the scheme issued by the state government, register, and apply through the online form.
However, many women in rural areas are not capable of applying online. Therefore, offline applications can still be made. To apply, women need to obtain the form and apply for the scheme.
Ladki Bahin Yojana Online Form:
- First, the eligible woman needs to obtain the Ladki Bahin Yojana form from nearby Anganwadi centers, Setu Suvidha centers, CSC centers, Gram Panchayat, or Aaple Sarkar Setu Suvidha centers.
- Then, women need to enter their information in the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana form, such as applicant’s name, address, father’s/husband’s name, age, Aadhar card number, mobile number, etc.
- After entering the information in the application, attach photocopies of documents with the application form.

Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana Last Date
The Maharashtra state government has made changes to the Last Date, under which eligible women must apply for the scheme before September 30, 2024. The online and offline application process for women to apply under the scheme has been started from July 1, 2024.
For the Ladki bahini yojana, the state government had initially issued August 31, 2024, as the last date to apply in the Ladki Bahin Yojana GR. After that, women applied online through the ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in portal and offline through Anganwadi centers, Aaple Sarkar Setu Suvidha centers, Gram Panchayats, and CSC centers to avail the benefits of the scheme.
Women whose applications were accepted before August 14 received the first installment of 3000 rupees of the Ladki Bahin Yojana through DBT. After that, in the second phase of the scheme, more than 57 lakh women have been distributed the amount from August 28.
However, some women in the state failed to apply for the scheme, and some women’s applications were rejected. As such, after August 31, 2024, women could not make new applications or reapply for rejected forms for the scheme.
Therefore, the Women and Child Development Department issued a proposal to the Maharashtra state government to extend the last date. The state government approved the proposal, and on August 30, 2024, during an assembly in the state, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced the extension of the application date for until September 30, 2024.
In addition, it was announced that women who applied for the scheme in July would be given 4500 rupees by September 15. The installment for these three months – July, August, and September – will be transferred together directly to the beneficiary women’s bank accounts through DBT.
